Pivot Preset + Offset Panel

Look up the controls used to move a pivot with presets or typed offsets.

Pivot Preset Panel

The top section of the Pivot Tool window. Displays preset buttons for all 27 bounding-box positions, organized into four visual groups.

Preset Buttons

  • Center — moves the pivot to the center of the bounding box. See Use Pivot Presets.
  • CenterTop / CenterBottom / CenterLeft / CenterRight / CenterFront / CenterBack — moves the pivot to the center of the corresponding bounding-box face.
  • Corner buttons (8 buttons) — moves the pivot to one of the eight bounding-box corners. Labels follow the pattern TopLeftFront, BottomRightBack, and similar combinations.
  • Edge buttons (12 buttons) — moves the pivot to the midpoint of a bounding-box edge. Labels follow the pattern TopEdgeLeft, MidEdgeFront, BottomEdgeRight, and similar combinations.

Preset Options

  • Auto Save — when enabled, writes the preset pivot immediately without requiring a separate commit step.
  • Group Mode — calculates the bounding box across all selected actors combined.
  • Last Selected Mode — uses the last selected actor's bounding box as the reference for all selected actors.
  • Vertex Mode — snaps to the nearest vertex instead of the mathematical bounding-box point.
  • Children Mode — includes child actors when calculating the bounding box.
  • Text / Graphic Mode — switches between text buttons and graphical box representation.
  • Single Preset Mode — shows one preset group at a time.

Responsive preset behavior

  • The preset area wraps to fit the current panel width.
  • Text labels are shortened or hidden automatically in tighter layouts.
  • Some display controls collapse into a more compact presentation when space is limited.
  • Ctrl + Mousewheel over the preset widgets changes their display scale.
  • Shift + Mousewheel toggles Single Preset Mode.
  • In Single Preset Mode, the mouse wheel switches the visible preset group.

Pivot Offset Area

An XYZ input row for entering a numeric offset.

  • X / Y / Z input fields — type the offset value for each axis.
  • Apply — adds the entered offset to the selected actors' pivot. Respects the editor's current coordinate system. See Set the Actor Pivot.
  • Snap to Vert — moves the pivot to the nearest vertex on the mesh surface.
