Actor Sockets panel

Look up the controls used to create and manage mesh sockets from pivot positions.

Sockets area

Use this area to manage mesh sockets created from pivot positions.

Toolbar

  • Socket — adds a new socket at the current pivot position. See Manage Mesh Sockets.
  • Draw — toggles socket visualization in the viewport.

Socket list

Each row displays:

  • Socket name — click to rename, then press Enter to confirm.
  • Set Pivot — moves the actor pivot to this socket's position.
  • Focus — centers the viewport camera on the socket.
  • Delete — available from the context menu for the selected socket or sockets.

Context menu

  • Set Socket As Pivot — moves the actor pivot to the selected socket position.
  • Move Socket to Pivot — moves the selected socket to the current pivot.
  • Rename — renames the selected socket.
  • Delete — deletes the selected socket or sockets.
  • Focus in viewport — centers the viewport camera on the selected socket.

Socket options

  • Draw Socket Name — shows socket names as viewport labels.
  • Draw Socket Self Scale — draws sockets using their own scale.
  • Show Actor Name — prepends the actor name in the socket list.
  • Show Component Name — prepends the component name in the socket list.
  • New Socket Prefix — default text for new socket names.
  • Socket Draw Size — controls the size of socket indicators in the viewport.
